Dr. Amrita Jha is a faculty in Business Laws at the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak. Formerly, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies, Delhi, and the Department of Legal Studies, Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan. Dr Jha
started her career in teaching law with KIIT School of Law, Bhubaneswar (Odisha), prior to working with Banasthali Vidyapith. She was also associated with Delhi University as a Taxation Laws and Labour Laws guest faculty. Dr Jha has earned her B.A.LLB (Hons.) from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, her LL.M in Business Laws from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, and her PhD in Data Protection Law in E-Commerce from Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar. She has also qualified UGC-NET examination. She has got experience of various legal arenas while working with different NGOs, including Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA), reputed Law firms, including Suri & Company, PSUs like ONGC, and the
Union Ministry of Law & Justice, GOI. She has good exposure to court procedures and has closely worked with legal luminaries. She has honed her professional skills through many seminars, academic research papers, and UGC-sponsored courses. She has also chaired various Moot courts and client counseling training sessions. Dr Jha also has a number of publications in Scopus and Web of Science journals. Her research interests include Business Laws, Data Protection Laws, Investment Laws, Competition Laws, Consumer Protection Laws, and Taxation Laws.
